About the Role

Wild Dreams Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Conservation Tourism Development Manager to join our team in Underberg, Southern Drakensberg. As the ideal candidate, you will be innovative, operationally strong, and dedicated to creating impactful, nature-based guest experiences that support wildlife protection and community benefit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver unique conservation-focused tourism products, including wildlife viewing hides, guided field trips, and cultural or nature-based experiences
• Manage all hide reservations and tourism-related bookings
• Oversee and maintain tourism facilities to ensure they meet high guest-readiness standards
• Lead marketing initiatives to grow eco-tourism revenue and conservation funding, including content creation
• Build partnerships with conservation teams, tourism operators, and creative collaborators
• Support wildlife monitoring and other conservation activities

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in tourism, conservation tourism, hospitality, or a related field
• Strong marketing and media skills, including campaign planning and content creation
• Experience with reservations and booking systems (NightBridge advantageous)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (isiZulu advantageous)
• Excellent organisational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is an advantage
• Professional certifications or training in conservation tourism or related fields are highly recommended
• Completion of relevant diplomas or certificates is advantageous
• Relevant experience in marketing, hospitality, or a related field is essential
