Vereeniging: Creditors Clerk

URGENT POSITION: CREDITORS CLERK – VEREENIGING, GAUTENG Salary: R18 000 per month Only candidates who meet all requirements will be shortlisted Our client is urgently seeking a Creditors Clerk with strong financial accuracy, excellent reconciliation skills, and experience managing high-volume supplier accounts. This role requires someone who is highly organised, analytical, and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage and pay a creditors book of 200 suppliers, with a monthly book value of approximately R30 million Handle procurement card administration, including monthly reconciliations Perform fleet account reconciliations and ensure all supporting documentation is correct and complete Process and manage petty cash, including balancing and monthly controls Conduct general ledger reconciliations, analysing and resolving variances Work effectively in a stock environment and complete supplier reconciliation processes Load and process payments immediately and accurately Follow up on queries and resolve discrepancies promptly Prepare creditor analysis reports and balance them to supplier statements Report directly to the Financial Manager Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable) Matric / Grade 12 Proven experience managing a 200 supplier book valued at ±R30 million monthly Strong procurement card reconciliation experience Experience with fleet account reconciliations Proficient in petty cash control and balancing Strong general ledger reconciliation skills Solid MS Office proficiency (especially Excel) Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and problem-solving ability Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Added Advantage: Diploma in Finance Experience in a stock-driven environment A-Player Characteristics Takes ownership Efficient & effective Strong problem-solving ability Organised & driven Team-oriented High attention to detail Excellent stress tolerance and analytical thinking
