Job Title: Site Engineer/Technologist
Location: Welkom, Free State

Job Overview:
Hire Resolve’s client is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join their team in Welkom, Free State. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering and project management, with strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate projects, collaborating with stakeholders to establish timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site inspections, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards.
• Manage quality control, performing tests and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Enforce health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and hazards.
• Oversee construction activities, scheduling work and coordinating subcontractors.
• Communicate with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Maintain documentation of project activities and prepare regular reports.
• Solve problems and make decisions to keep the project on track.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (BEng or BTech)
• Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (PrEng or PrTech)
• 8 to 10 years of experience in the construction and civil engineering field
• Fluency in Sesotho and English
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer/Technologist
• Software proficiency including but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, MS Projects
• Strong problem solving skills
• Skilled in communication and interaction with stakeholders including clients, subcontractors and project teams
• Leadership and management of teams on site
