About the Role

Homechoice, a leading South African homeware retailer, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Intern in our Distribution Centre for 18 months. As part of our operations team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced logistics and warehouse environment, working alongside experienced professionals who will support your growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Centre.
  • Assist with receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
  • Support inventory management and stock control processes.
  • Assist with stock counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Help ensure that customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Support housekeeping and health and safety standards within the Distribution Centre.
  • Assist with the investigation and resolution of operational queries and discrepancies.
  • Support administrative and reporting activities within the operations team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure operational targets and service levels are achieved.

Requirements

  • An N6 National Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Public Management, Financial Management, or a related field.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a distribution and operations environment.
