Uphold & Manage ISO 22000 Certification Implement and maintain FSC chain of custody certification Manage Health and Safety compliance Manage Ewasa registration Manage COID claims Procedure & Report writing Staff Training Oversee & Manage NCRS process Oversee GMP in label printing plant Manage cleaners and conduct inspections Continuously monitor existing processes with the aim of improving and recommending improvements Comply with and assist the company in complying with all relevant legislation and company policys, including POPI Report matters of importance and business risks to your line manager as soon as reasonably possible Accept responsibility as a Data Steward for the above areas of responsibility Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), Excel Legal Metrology Act & Regulations ISO quality systems FSC chain of Custody Certification Writing Procedures

Job Summary

Key responsibilities Safety Management The factory uses a variety of chemicals (e.g., detergents, bleaches, solvents) that can pose safety risks. The Group SHEQ Manager would ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of these chemicals. Managing safety protocols for heavy machinery, such as washers, dryers, and ironing equipment. Ensuring that all equipment is regularly maintained and that employees are trained to use it safely. Given that the factory deal with high heat from dryers and ironers, fire safety protocols are essential. Ensuring that workers are equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize risks. Health Management Ensuring that employees are not exposed to harmful chemicals or conditions (e.g., wet floors, extreme temperatures). This may include providing adequate ventilation or protective equipment. Addressing potential repetitive strain injuries and ensuring that workflows are designed to minimize health risks for staff. Ensuring that all hygiene protocols are in place, particularly when dealing with items like bed linens or uniforms, where contamination is a concern. Environmental Management Implementing systems for the responsible disposal or recycling of waste, including textile waste, water treatment, and chemical disposal. Laundries can be heavy consumers of water and energy. The SHEQ Manager would be responsible for identifying opportunities to reduce consumption and improve sustainability, such as investing in energy-efficient machinery or water recycling systems. Introducing environmentally friendly cleaning agents and reducing the carbon footprint of the laundry operations. Quality Assurance Ensuring that laundry services meet quality standards for cleanliness, fabric care, and customer satisfaction. This could include ISO certifications or other industry-specific standards. Regular audits to monitor the quality of services and products being delivered, checking for consistency in cleanliness and fabric handling. Handling any issues related to service quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and identifying areas for improvement. Regulatory Compliance Ensuring that the laundry business complies with all local and national regulations concerning safety, health, environmental standards, and quality management. Ensuring the laundry meets the required standards for industry certifications and maintaining those certifications. Training and Awareness Conducting regular training sessions for employees on safety practices, chemical handling, equipment operation, and quality control. Raising awareness about environmental sustainability, proper hygiene practices, and safety protocols. Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Keeping records of safety audits, environmental impact assessments, quality assurance checks, and any incidents or accidents that occur in the workplace. Working with management to develop strategies for continuous improvement in safety, health, environmental, and quality systems. Reporting Daily/weekly/monthly reporting of incidents, safety checks and operational status updates. Quarterly reporting of all Health and Safety activities and corrective actions. Qualifications and experience Minimum of 7-12 years experience in a similar role position or a similar role in a medium to large organization with exposure in manufacturing, FMCG, mining and hospitality/service-related industries Grade 12/ NQF level 4 or equivalent Bachelor’s Degree in a related field NQF level 7 or higher preferable Skills and requirements Excellent communication skills( verbal and written) Good organizational skills with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities The ability to work under stress and resolve conflict Detail orientated Ability to relate with people at all levels in the organisation and other stakeholders Auditing skills Proficient computer literacy on MS Office related packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook) and Company related software systems

Job Summary

A leading organization in the corporate sector is seeking an experienced SHE Manager to oversee the implementation and management of its Safety, Health, and Environmental strategies. This role is vital to ensuring full compliance with OHS legislation, environmental standards, and ESG frameworks across all company operations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teamsincluding Facilities, Operations, IT, Finance, and Project Managementto integrate SHE requirements into everyday activities and projects. You will also engage with external stakeholders such as regulators, contractors, vendors, and government agencies to ensure legal compliance, maintain high safety standards, and manage SHE-related risks. Key Responsibilities Include: Developing and enforcing SHE policies, conducting audits and risk assessments, overseeing contractor safety compliance, and implementing a zero-harm strategy. You will lead emergency preparedness planning, promote safety training and awareness across the organization, and ensure effective documentation and reporting of all SHE activities. The role also involves introducing SHE technologies and serving as the ESG Custodian, helping the organization meet environmental targets and sustainability goals. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors or BTech degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management or a related field (NQF Level 7) 8 years of experience in SHE management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Strong understanding of the OHS Act and related regulatory frameworks Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, SAIOSH, or SAATCA (ISO 45001/14001) are advantageous Proven track record in implementing SHE systems and driving cultural change Industry: Services/ Banking/ Financial Services
