About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Sous Chef to join our client’s team in Western Cape. As a key member of the culinary leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, leading teams, and driving innovation in food products. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the Kitchen Brigade
- Influence operational employees
- Implement change and support people through times of transition
- Support the development of innovative and creative food products
- Oversee and simultaneously pay attention to multiple demands
- Lead small teams
- Prove ability to lead in high-pressure situations
- Correctly communicate detailed information and instruction to others
Requirements
- Matric or NQF4 combined with diploma in Culinary Arts
- Commercial cookery apprenticeship or equivalent
- 5 years experience in a culinary leadership role
- Extensive experience in a luxury 5* Lodge / hotel or cruise liners
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Fully computer literate – MS Office Suite
- Valid Driver’s License (may need to drive company vehicles)
