About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions to customers, while driving sales growth and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to inbound customer enquiries with accurate product advice and solutions
- Preparing detailed quotations aligned to customer specifications
- Processing sales orders with a high level of accuracy
- Providing technical support on pneumatic components and system applications
- Interpreting part numbers and technical requirements
- Following up on outstanding quotations to convert opportunities into sales
- Identifying additional sales opportunities within existing enquiries
- Working closely with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure product availability
- Maintaining accurate sales records and updating CRM systems
- Supporting annual stock take and general sales administration
- Assisting customers via phone, email and digital communication platforms
Requirements
- Proven experience in internal or technical sales
- Strong understanding of pneumatic systems and industrial components
- Ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently
- Excellent quotation accuracy and order processing skills
- Strong follow-up and closing ability
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficient in MS Office and Pastel or similar ERP systems
- Comfortable using CRM systems and digital communication tools
