About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lodge Manager to join our luxury small-scale safari lodge in Zululand, KZN. As the face of our lodge, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience and overseeing all aspects of daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily lodge and farm oversight
- Guest check-in coordination and full guest flow management
- Staff supervision across all departments (Field Guides, Front of House, Housekeeping, Maintenance & Gardening)
- Oversee kitchen operations and food preparation (culinary experience essential)
- Quality control of units, pool, vehicles, maintenance, and ongoing lodge projects
- Stock control and inventory management
- Reporting to head office (HQ)
- Coordinate ranger schedules, guest activities, and operational logistics
- Liaise with reserve management and external stakeholders
- Ensure smooth day-to-day lodge operations in a small, high-touch environment
Requirements
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Culinary experience (essential)
- Previous experience in lodge or hospitality management (desirable)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (not specified, skipping this section entirely)
Salary & Benefits
