Operations Manager This role is ideal for an energetic and enthusiastic Leader with flair and ability to drive and motivate others to achieve excellence. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role is responsible for effectively managing all operational aspects of training programs, both internally and externally. This is a critical role in ensuring the success of all projects through analysis, scheduling and execution of programs ranging from workshops to occupational qualifications. Key Responsibilities Office Management: Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure smooth business processes. Contract Management: Coordinate SLAs for freelance contractors, project documentation and client agreements. Client Relations: Cultivate relationships with internal and external clients to achieve reduced costs and improved performance. Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards across all training programmes. Project Management: Coordinate training schedules, monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery. Team Leadership: Guide all the operational staff, freelance facilitators, assessors and moderators to ensure excellence in training delivery. Compliance: Stay abreast of QCTO and QAP processes and relevant legislation in skills development. Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports for clients and management. Requirements Proven experience in operations management in the training and development sector. Strong understanding of skills development frameworks and legislative requirements. Excellent project management capabilities. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and address challenges proactively. Competencies Conflict management expertise. Business acumen and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively. Strong results focus and time management capabilities. Adaptability in a changing environment. Proactive approach to learning and development. Ability to influence teams to comply to all legislative and standard operational procedures. Additional Information Some weekend work and unusual hours may occasionally be required. Travel may be necessary for project coordination. Job Summary

Operations Manager Western Cape ? Location: Western Cape, South Africa ? Employment Type: Permanent A distinguished opportunity is available for an experienced Operations Manager to join a long-standing business process outsourcing operation within the manufacturing supply chain sector. This role is integral to the delivery of client-focused services, internal team leadership, and the continuous pursuit of operational excellence. You will play a vital role in daily on-site client engagements, team supervision, process optimisation, and quality assurance, while driving innovation and service performance across multiple contracts. Key Responsibilities Full manpower planning and deployment across sites Daily client liaison, issue resolution, and non-conformance management Strategic planning and scheduling in line with service delivery standards Benchmarking of performance against contract KPIs and models Oversight of budgets, costings, and financial efficiency Management of disciplinary hearings and employee relations Execution and monitoring of OHS, FSSC22000, and other compliance audits Supervision of approximately 6 contract supervisors and 10 internal staff High-level visibility over 300 contract personnel Identification and development of new client opportunities Essential Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in operations or site management, preferably within TES or outsourced staffing environments Proven leadership of multi-level teams in high-volume operational settings Proficiency in logistics, scheduling, and performance tracking Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and time-and-motion knowledge Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills Valid Code 8 Drivers License High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Suite and custom platforms) Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude Preferred (Not Essential) Familiarity with FSSC22000, ISO, or Quality Management Systems (QMS) Personal Attributes Positive and professional demeanor Strong people orientation and team leadership capabilities Hardworking, methodical, and hands-on Inquisitive and committed to continuous improvement Commercially minded with strategic thinking ability What Makes This Opportunity Unique Exposure to a company that actively outperforms competitors through service excellence and staff development A performance-driven culture with scope for business growth contributions Long-term potential for professional development, influence, and leadership evolution Annual reviews aligned with industry benchmarks Bonus and performance-linked incentives available If you are seeking a role where operational leadership, client engagement, and entrepreneurial spirit intersect this is the challenge for you.
