Role Summary
We are looking for a driven, high-performing New Cars Team Leader to join our dynamic Nissan sales force. In this role, you will act as a “playing captain”maintaining your own sales performance while mentoring a team of Sales Executives to reach their full potential.
You will be the heartbeat of the showroom floor, ensuring that every customer experiences the innovation and excitement of the Nissan brand (from the rugged Navara to the electric ARIYA). The ideal candidate is a closer with a passion for leadership, capable of driving volume, gross profit, and exceptional Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Performance & Deal Structuring

Target Achievement: Assist the Sales Manager in meeting monthly dealership volume and gross profit targets.

Deal Closing: Step in to assist Sales Executives in closing complex deals, overcoming objections, and structuring finance packages in collaboration with the F&I (Finance & Insurance) department.

Inventory Knowledge: Maintain expert-level knowledge of the entire Nissan lineup (Internal Combustion, e-POWER, and EV) and competitor comparisons.

Stock Management: Assist in managing showroom display standards, demo fleet availability, and stock aging.
2. Team Leadership & Coaching

Mentorship: Onboard new hires and provide daily coaching to existing Sales Executives regarding the “Road to a Sale” process.

Motivation: Run daily sales meetings (morning huddles) to set targets, track activities, and energize the team.

Activity Management: Monitor team inputs (calls, leads, test drives) via the CRM to ensure the sales funnel remains healthy.
3. Customer Experience (CSI)

Brand Ambassador: Ensure every client interaction aligns with Nissans global standards for customer service.

Issue Resolution: Act as the first point of escalation for customer complaints or queries on the floor.

Delivery Standards: Oversee the vehicle handover process to ensure a memorable and perfect delivery experience for the client.
Requirements & Qualifications
-
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in automotive sales with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets. Previous experience with the Nissan brand is highly advantageous.

Leadership: Prior experience in a supervisory role or a Senior Sales Executive position is preferred.

Licensing: Valid Drivers License (Manual and Automatic) with a clean driving record.

Tech Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Automate, Reynolds) and CRM software.

Education: National Senior Certificate or equivalent required; tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or Management is a plus.

Closing Ability: A natural negotiator who can structure deals that benefit both the customer and the dealership.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to build rapport instantly.

Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret sales data/reports and adjust strategies accordingly.

Resilience: Ability to handle high-pressure environments and long hours typical of the retail motor industry.
