Job Description
This role includes planning, budgeting, making key decisions, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Oversee project coordination and execution, ensuring objectives are met in terms of quality, timelines, and budget
Manage clients, ensuring all commercial commitments are met
Guide and support the design team
Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for water and wastewater construction projects
Attend progress meetings, prepare payment certificates, and manage contractual claims
Facilitate approval of drawings by relevant bodies
Conduct site inspections to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
Develop detailed project plans (MS Project), scopes, and objectives
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
Strong client communication and commercial understanding
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Identify risks and implement problem-solving strategies
Engineering contracts management (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, GCC)
Implement Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act requirements
Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in water and sanitation construction projects
5 years experience in project management, with exposure to engineering contracting models
Knowledge of sewer reticulation design
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint; intermediate MS Excel and MS Project
Bachelors degree (BSc or BTech) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
Ability to manage financial budgets
Proven track record in managing water and sanitation construction projects
