About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Business Analyst to join our client’s team in Pretoria. As a key member of the business analysis team, you will play a crucial role in understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders and helping to envision the future and how your work will need to change to support it. With a strong background in IT and experience working with insurance companies, you will be responsible for identifying current- and future-state business processes, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and analyzing data to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Collection Runs/Feedback/Reconciliations
  • Perform Collection Stats
  • Provide User Support (User Orientation)
  • Define and document customer business functions and processes
  • Liaise with business to understand requirements for any new systems or updates to existing systems
  • Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organization as a whole
  • Business/Impact Analysis
  • Identify current- and future-state business processes
  • Facilitate the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders
  • Create, analyse and validate business requirements and high level functional specifications
  • Project Scope Analysis
  • Deliver elements of system design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes or other detailed deliverables
  • Analyse the feasibility of and develop requirements for new system and enhance existing systems, ensure the system design fits the need of the user
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality
  • Reads and interpret case management systems and functional technical literature and translate in terms understandable to the end user
  • Conduct change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents core to business rules, functions and requirements
  • Use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes;

Requirements

  • IT related degree/diploma
  • Microsoft Certification – advantage
  • 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis
  • 2 years’ experience in IT Development
  • 2 years’ experience in Project management
  • Microsoft Framework (SQL, .Net, C#, WCF, WPF, ASP.net; MVC, OOP, K2, SharePoint, Kanban, Scrum)

Qualifications

  • Completed degree/diploma in a relevant field
