About the Role
Jordan Human Resources is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our HSE team, you will play a vital role in promoting the safety and health of our employees on site, as well as supporting their overall wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess health status of employees as per legal and company job specifications.
- Conduct/ facilitate wellness education/ awareness training programmes.
- Counsel employees on alcoholism, drugs and substance abuse, violence, etc.
- Advice and guidance all employees on Health and Safety related issues.
- Conduct drug test and “fit for work” assessments.
- Provide basic accident treatment and cover and communicate with HR relevant agencies.
- Co-ordinates employee’s assistance programmes (EAP).
- Monitor employees with potentially and chronic illnesses.
- Audiometric testing as per legislation.
- Compile and or circulate health care information.
- Maintain departmental first aid boxes in terms of the General Health and Safety Regulations.

Requirements
- Registered Nurse/Dip in Occupational Health
- Registered with SA Nurses counsel; Indemnity to practice with SASOHN and SA Nursing counsel. Indemnification against any nursing malpractice;
- 2 to 5 years experience in an Industrial working environment in the capacity as Occupational Health Nurse.
- Audiometry Certification
- Spirometry Certification
- Dispensary Certification
Qualifications
- Grade 12/Matric
- Registered with SA Nurses counsel; Indemnity to practice with SASOHN and SA Nursing counsel. Indemnification against any nursing malpractice;
