About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Accounting Trainee to join our team in Johannesburg. As a recent graduate with a passion for numbers, Excel, and understanding where the money actually goes, you will be instrumental in supporting our cost tracking, allocation, and reporting efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cost tracking, allocation, and reporting
- Support inventory valuation, stock counts & reconciliations
- Help with variance analysis (actual vs budget/standard costs)
- Capture and maintain cost data in ERP/accounting systems
- Support procurement, logistics, and production cost analysis
- Use Excel, BI tools, and basic AI/analytics for reporting
Requirements
- Basic understanding of cost & management accounting
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, analysis)
- Exposure to AI, analytics, or automation tools
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
Qualifications
- BTech or BCom in Supply Chain, Cost Management, Finance , or similar
