About the Role

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. They will lead a team of warehouse staff to meet operational targets safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Ensure efficient workflow and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement stock rotation practices (FIFO/LIFO).
  • Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff.
  • Develop staff performance plans and conduct performance reviews.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office.
  • Understanding of inventory management and logistics processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Minimum: National Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Qualifications

  • 35 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
  • Experience with ERP or WMS systems is preferred.
  • Forklift license advantageous.
