About the Role
We are assisting a trendy and vibrant new restaurant set to open in Cape Town in May 2026, in recruiting a dynamic & experienced General Manager to take the lead at this exciting new high-end restaurant. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong operational background, and demonstrates excellent people leadership skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new opening and to play a key role in establishing a vibrant, contemporary dining destination in Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage large, high-energy restaurant operations with a focus on efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of food & beverage operations, including stock control, cost management, and health and safety compliance.
- Inspire, coach, and manage a large, diverse team through strong leadership and team development abilities.
- Deliver outstanding guest experiences while maintaining service consistency and quality.
- Make sound judgments and think on their feet in a dynamic, trend-driven environment.
- Drive revenue growth, boost bottom-line performance, and maintain financial stability.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success in managing large restaurant operations with a focus on efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Deep knowledge of food & beverage operations, including stock control, cost management, and health and safety compliance.
- Strong leadership and team development abilities — capable of inspiring, coaching, and managing a large, diverse team.
