Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Substation Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and engineering of high-voltage substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Design HV/MV substations (AIS & GIS) from concept through detailed design Prepare single line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings Develop protection & control philosophies Perform primary and secondary design calculations Coordinate with civil, protection, and commissioning teams Review vendor drawings and technical documentation Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and local utility standards Support site activities and technical queries during construction Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering 3–8 years of experience in substation design (132kV and above preferred) Strong knowledge of protection & control systems Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, or similar Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards Excellent technical reporting and communication Â
