About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Analyst / Business Development Officer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and business analysis, with experience working in a bank environment. This role involves assisting Business Development Officers in compiling prospect plans, qualifying prospects, and determining business potential, as well as conducting cold calls, monthly reporting, and analyzing financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Business Development Officers (BDO/E) in compiling prospect plans
- Qualifying prospects and determining business potential
- Conducting cold calls to new prospects
- Monthly reporting
- Concluding credit transactions and making recommendations to major banks (ABSA, Wesbank, Standard Bank, Merchant West, Sasfin, and Investec Bank)
- Meeting all FAIS & FICA Regulations regarding all transactions (including Know Your Client requirements & adherence)
- Detailed analysis of Financial Statements with regards to ratios, current state of Financials, Cash Flows (Management & Audited) using point in time analysis, ROE’s
- Report writing on current state of financials (DCC)
- Implementing and analyzing risk procurements for granting of credit
- Signing of Contracts and Sureties and ensuring all is adhered to regarding company documents, legal requirements
- Assisting BDO/E in obtaining targeted sales volume, fee income, yield by providing an effective sales support service
- Taking care of revolving credit line clients – reviewing facilities
- Assisting BDO/E in submission of quality case presentations
- Actioning of internal audit queries as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Commerce or related field (B.Com)
- Accounting experience as a Business Analyst in a bank environment is advantageous
