About the Role
The Internal Marketing Manager – Local Procurement role at our company is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of the fresh produce export industry in South Africa, as well as international markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with local and international producers, negotiating trade agreements, and expanding our client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement: Work with South African producers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Trading / Marketing: Negotiate with buyers / clients, expand client base, and manage international customer /client relationships.
- Compliance and risk management: Analyze exported volumes, reaction planning, and ensure adherence to industry regulations.
Requirements
- Relevant Tertiary qualification will be advantageous
- Minimum 5 years experience in global fresh fruit marketing/trading from South Africa as well as local procurement within the fresh produce export industry in South Africa
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a collaborative team mindset
- An additional language will be advantageous but not a requirement
