About the Role
A well-known manufacturing company of building and construction products is seeking an experienced Senior Earthmoving Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join their team based in Kempton Park, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance for earthmoving equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines for earthmoving equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems with diesel engines
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with operators and other team members to ensure efficient equipment operation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair history
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance for earthmoving equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, systems, and repair techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Qualifications
- National Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CAA or SAIAB) an advantage
