About the Role
Human Accent Ltd is seeking a skilled Junior Reefer Technician to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our container conversion industry, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing refrigerated containers. If you have a solid refrigeration background and relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and repairs of refrigerated containers
- On-site servicing of Reefer Lease fleet
- Attending to reefer-related callouts and breakdowns on-site
- Liaising with customers on-site and ensuring job cards are filled out and signed
- Estimating repairs to reefers when procured and off-hired
- Carrying out necessary repairs to make reefers operational
- Commissioning units on-site
- Managing spares in stock and accounting for once removed
- Notifying the line manager of required stock
- Packaging reefer spares for local and international orders
- Maintaining housekeeping of the Reefer Workshop area
- Assisting CWD Workshop as needed (clearance with Line Manager required)
- Inspecting reefers at depots before procurement
- Working overtime/after-hours call-outs (vehicle provided)
- Accountable for all Workshop Tools
- Refurbishment of Reefer component items
Requirements
Trade Tested (qualified artisan) and valid driver’s license. A solid refrigeration background with reefer experience is essential.
