About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Officer to join our team in a fast-paced operational environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of providing effective IT support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and efficient IT support to users across various departments
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve technical problems
- Maintain and update computer systems, networks, and databases
- Implement and manage cybersecurity practices and data protection measures
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide tailored solutions
- Perform remote support and ticketing as required
Requirements
- Recognised IT qualifications: National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Strong MS SQL Server skills (Query writing and DB maintenance)
- Accounting or actuarial background (advantageous)
- Advanced Excel skills (linking sheets to databases, pivots, formulas etc)
- Programming skills and qualifications (VBA, C#, NET, Python etc) (advantageous)
- CompTIA A Certification (advantageous). CompTIA Network Certification (advantageous).
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
