About the Role
The Project Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects in Cape Town City Centre, working closely with the Project Manager and Construction Manager to ensure timely completion within constraints dates. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop schedule and basis of schedule for the project.
- Assess and evaluate contractors’ schedules.
- Provide regular feedback to the Project Manager on project progress.
- Monitor and update Project schedule as required.
- Attend regular progress meetings to ensure work is carried out in line with agreed schedules and programme.
- Issue updated Project Schedules to the Project Manager.
- Ensure timely collection of accurate updated information is incorporated into the Schedules.
- Analyse effects of updated information and highlight adverse situations to the Project Manager and Construction Manager.
- Proactively issue warning alerts if running late, together with proposing possible solutions.
- Incorporate Changes to the Scope of Work into the Schedule.
- Liaise with relevant Managers on latest Scope Changes.
- Provide necessary schedule-related input to contract deviations or claims.
- Prepare charts and diagrams as required for reports, indicating planned, actual, and forecast pertaining to projects.
- Develop schedule progress reports and update these reports regularly.
- Develop formulae within MS Projects to report on specific aspects of the schedule.
