Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Trails Guide to lead walking safaris at our remote Big 5 lodge in Hluhluwe. The ideal candidate will possess expert wildlife and tracking knowledge, as well as strong conservation ethics and environmental awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead walking safaris in a Big 5 or unfenced reserve environment
- Provide clear guest communication and storytelling abilities during guided tours
- Demonstrate bushcraft, navigation, and survival skills to ensure guest safety
- Work effectively under pressure, making calm and decisive decisions
- Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional guest experiences
Requirements
- FGASA Trails Guide qualification (minimum Level 1; Level 2 or higher preferred)
- Valid drivers licence
- PDP (where applicable)
- Minimum First Aid Level 2 (mandatory)
Qualifications
- FGASA Field Guide qualification (advantageous)
