Job Description

Reporting to the National Sales and Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for achieving budgeted sales targets, maintaining market share, driving profitability, and strengthening customer relationships. Key Responsibilities: Implement sales initiatives in line with the ACC strategic plan and approved budget. Drive revenue growth through new business development and expansion of existing accounts. Monitor monthly sales per customer and analyse buying patterns to ensure target achievement. Extract and analyse daily sales data from SAP to track performance vs targets and implement corrective action where required. Maintain accurate customer master data and ensure integrity of all sales information on SAP/ERP systems. Initiate and manage promotional activities, trade evenings, and marketing campaigns to grow market share. Assist with credit applications and work closely with Debtors to ensure collections remain within 45-day terms. Monitor gross profit daily and implement action plans to protect margins. Ensure correct pricing structures are applied and maintained at all times. Resolve or escalate customer queries in line with company policies and procedures. Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations, and training to ensure alignment with company strategy. Support compliance with internal controls, policies, and relevant regulations. Optimise use of company resources (vehicle, cell phone, expenses) and manage costs within budget. Minimum Requirements: Matric Certificate in Sales and Marketing (NQF 5) or equivalent. 3 years experience as a Sales Representative within a manufacturing environment. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts. Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems. Strong understanding of sales reporting, margin management, and debtor control. Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel within the assigned region. Advantageous: Diploma in Sales and Marketing (NQF 6). Experience within the automotive aftermarket sector. Behavioural Competencies: Commercially driven and target focused. Proactive, action-oriented and resilient. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent planning and organisational skills. Customer-focused with strong relationship-building capability.
