Logistics Controller
Renowned Company in Port Elizabeth seeking a highly organized and results-driven Logistics Controller with proven procurement / purchasing experience to join their dynamic operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all logistic activities, managing stock control, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
National Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or similar related field.
3 5 years experience in a logistics controller, procurement or similar role.
Proven procurement and supplier management experience.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and/or ERP software.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Advanced computer skills and have MS Excel proficiency.
Must have valid drivers license.
Own vehicle is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Supply Chain Management:
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations.
Monitor stock levels and manage inventory control.
Stock Management and warehouse inventory control.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Maintain accurate logistics documentation and reporting.
Procurement & Supplier Management:
Source and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements.
Issue purchase orders and monitor order progress.
Maintain supplier relationships and conduct performance reviews.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement strategies.
Ensure all procurement activities align with budgetary guidelines.
Manage and reconcile procurement documentation and invoices.
