Job Description
* Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
* Good computer skills
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate ore dispatch via road and rail from mine to port.
* Manage vessel bookings, export documentation, and shipment tracking.
* Liaise with transporters, shipping agents, and port authorities.
* Familiarity with all incoterms.
* Knowledge of custom clearance, freight forwarding is positive.
* Support customs and export clearance processes.
* Monitor transport costs and performance.
* Communicate with production, sales, and finance to align logistics schedules.
Customs & Compliance:
* Liaise with customs brokers for export and import clearance processes.
* Ensure compliance with South African Revenue Service (SARS) regulations and trade requirements.
* Maintain up-to-date records of permits, export declarations, and compliance documentation.
* Support import logistics for equipment, spares, and consumables
* Coordinate with freight forwarders and suppliers for inbound shipments and customs clearance.
* Plan and manage dispatch of chrome ore from mine to port or customer using road and rail.
* Ensure correct loading, documentation, and scheduling of transport vehicles.
