About the Role

The Eastern Cape: Engineering Data Controller role at Staff Solutions requires a highly skilled professional to manage engineering data, bill of materials, and technical rules in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining BOMs, collaborating with design engineers, and representing the company in global forums.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain Bill-of-Materials (BOMs) using Technical Product Descriptions and Vehicle PR specifications.
Collaborate with local and international design engineers to ensure BOMs reflect accurate design levels.
Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure material availability.
Represent company in global forums.
Conduct weekly BOM consistency checks using Pasta and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare threat and vulnerability documentation and draft statements for change requests.
Manage release orders in product lifecycle and engineering data management systems.
Establish prototype vehicle parts lists and BOM databases for prototype builds.

Requirements

National Diploma or degree in Engineering, Logistics, IT/Data, Supply Chain, Business Management or Social Sciences and Humanities
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data management, bill of materials management and technical rules in the automotive industry
