About the Role

Africonology is seeking a highly skilled Test Lead & Analyst to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The successful candidate will lead testing activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions within the banking and finance sector.

Key Responsibilities

SIT|UAT /Regression planning and execution
Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and schedules aligned with project goals and regulatory requirements.
Lead, mentor, and coordinate the activities of the testing team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of test cycles.
Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution and re-testing.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with business objectives.
Report on test progress, metrics, risks, and issues to project leadership and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and best practices throughout the testing process.
Support user acceptance testing by preparing test data, coordinating test execution, and providing guidance to end-users.
Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies and processes to enhance quality and efficiency.

Requirements

Relevant professional qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in test leadership and analysis within the banking and finance sector.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for a range of audiences.

Qualifications
