About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Head Chef to join our upmarket farm store café located on the West Coast Road in Cape Town. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen and training junior staff, while maintaining high standards of culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run the kitchen and manage daily operations
  • Train and supervise junior staff members
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Develop and implement menus to suit customer demand
  • Manage inventory and ordering systems

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of head chef experience
  • Proven track record in a similar role
  • Contactable references from previous employers
  • Stable employment history
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Formal education or culinary training (if applicable)

Salary & Benefits

  • R32 000.00 – R35 000.00 per annum
