About the Role
The Workforce Group Ltd is seeking a Blending Machine Operator to join our client’s team in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. As a key member of our production unit, you will be responsible for operating the blending machine and ensuring the smooth operation of our ingredient milling and blending service. With thousands of customers across various industries, we require a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill this role immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the blending machine
- Check work order to pallet
- Get resources from Batching supervisor (oils needed for works order and Salt IBC bins)
- Maintain accuracy
- Keep focused
- Ensure general area and machine is clean at all times and housekeeping is adhered to
- Make sure line clearance is done according to procedure after every product change over
- Check that the machine is in good working order and the machine is clean
- Record downtime on provided sheets
- Report downtime to Blending Supervisor
- Raise and maintain job cards, with maintenance fixed and signed off
- Adhere to HACCP & AIB standards timeously and accurately for accreditation
- Follow FH Mini Business Programmed work teams processes
- Use initiative and make suggestions for improvement in need
- Follow due process when it comes to housekeeping and health and safety
- Proactively manage machinery and equipment, ensuring maintenance team is called upon timely
- Escalate matters to management urgently where required
- Maintain areas within the production unit on an ongoing basis
Requirements
- Product knowledge
- Numerical skills
- Health and Safety awareness
- Computer Literacy
- Technically inclined
- Experience in a similar role in FMCG (preferred)
- Understanding of production functions and processes (preferred)
Qualifications
- Matric or equivalent (preferred)
- NQF4 or equivalent (preferred)
