About the Role
The Centurion: Finance/Billing Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, while maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and sending invoices to customers or clients
- Verifying billing information such as rates, quantities, and services rendered
- Entering billing data into accounting or billing systems
- Processing payments, refunds, and adjustments
- Monitoring accounts receivable and tracking outstanding balances
- Following up on overdue payments and sending reminders or statements
- Resolving billing discrepancies and responding to customer inquiries
- Maintaining accurate financial and billing records
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
- Collaborating with accounting, sales, or customer service teams
- Preparing basic billing reports for management review
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Finance qualification will be advantageous
- Sound knowledge and understanding of SAP (essential)
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Understanding of financial administration and accounting processes
- Experience with project administration and procurement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
