Job Description

Premier Hotels & Resorts is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Stores/Stock Controller to manage and oversee inventory across our hotel’s Food, Beverage, and Rooms departments. This hands-on role ensures accurate stock control, proper storage, and efficient issuing of goods while maintaining compliance with company policies, hygiene standards, and procurement procedures. What You’ll Do: Manage inventory levels across all hotel departments, ensuring accuracy through regular reconciliations. Review departmental requisitions and issue stock efficiently with proper documentation. Maintain storeroom operations, ensuring hygiene, safety, and compliance with FIFO principles. Coordinate monthly and ad hoc stock takes and investigate variances or losses. Maintain accurate records in inventory systems and support finance and audit processes. Act as the point of contact for stock-related queries from operational departments. Collaborate with the Hotel Controller, Executive Chef, F&B Manager, Executive Housekeeper, and General Manager. Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards. Ability to communicate effectively across departments. Physically fit to handle stock movement. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric certificate. Minimum 2 years’ experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related role. Experience in hospitality inventory management (food, beverage, rooms) preferred. Proficiency in inventory control software (e.g., Materials Control, Pilot). Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and organisational ability. Valid work eligibility and trustworthy with stock security.
