Job Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for E&I projects, including materials, labour, and subcontractor pricing
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scope documents
- Conduct site visits where required to assess project requirements
- Compile Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender documentation
- Source and negotiate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Analyse project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards
- Assist in tender adjudication and contract negotiations
- Maintain a database of historical costs and pricing benchmarks
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation
- 3–8 years’ experience in E&I estimating within EPCM, construction, or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and instrumentation
- Experience with tendering processes and cost estimation software
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs
- Proficient in MS Excel and estimation tools
