About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our automotive manufacturing facility, ensuring seamless production and delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and implement quality management systems and processes
- Oversee project management and operation management activities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEM partners and suppliers
- Conduct effective negotiations to resolve issues and improve business outcomes
- Apply advanced knowledge and expertise in quality methods and tools, such as FMEA, PPAP/VDA, 8D, and 5S
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement
Requirements
- Grade 12 Industrial Engineering or similar qualification
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in quality management/project management/operation management in the automotive industry
- Proven previous employment in the Manufacturing and Automotive (OEM) sector
- Commercial awareness with effective negotiation skills
- Technical aptitude, proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Quality Management)
- Familiarity with ISO TS16949 standards
