About the Role

GAP Consulting is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team. As a key member of the accounting practice, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless payroll operations and maintaining compliance with South African tax legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Process payroll for employees in accordance with company policies and relevant tax laws
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee information, including personal details and tax deductions
Ensure timely submission of payroll returns to SARS and other relevant authorities
Provide support with payroll-related queries and disputes
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and meet deadlines

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper | Payroll Administrator in an Accounting Practice | Professional Services Industry
Relevant Tertiary Education in Accounting | Finance required
Proficient in CaseWare | Pastel Payroll | Sage Online | Xero Accounting essential
Strong knowledge of South African Tax Legislation | SARS eFiling | VAT | PAYE | Provisional Tax | SARS Disputes | Payroll Compliance | EMP201 | EMP501 | UIF | COIDA

Qualifications
