About the Role
A dynamic hospitality group is seeking an experienced and driven Reservations Team Lead to oversee a central reservations team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering seamless guest experiences while driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Central Reservations Team
- Oversee all reservations via phone, email, WhatsApp, online platforms, and systems
- Drive sales, upselling, and cross-selling across the portfolio
- Manage reservation statuses, cancellations, amendments, and refunds
- Ensure SOP implementation and system accuracy
- Oversee OTA management and inventory control
- Assist with revenue forecasting, occupancy, and deposit tracking
- Prepare arrival reports and communicate with lodge operations teams
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and effective inbox management
- Train, support, and develop team members
Requirements
- RSA ID and legal residence essential
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in a reservations department or travel/tourism call centre
- Proven experience as a Senior Reservations Consultant or Team Lead
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
- PMS knowledge (eRES, Nebula, Opera, Apex, CRM systems) advantageous
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
