About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team in Midrand. As a permanent, full-time position, you will be responsible for delivering packages to specified locations and branch transfers, while ensuring timely and accurate delivery. You will work closely with our team to provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking up and delivering various packages to specified locations and branch transfers as per the delivery instructions provided.
- Verifying addresses and locations before each delivery to ensure that there are no errors.
- Carefully planning travel routes to ensure that packages are delivered to recipients in a timely manner.
- Securing packages to prevent damage during transit.
- Obtaining recipients’ signatures upon completion of each delivery to confirm receipt of the correct items.
- Collecting payments as required and ensuring that the correct amounts have been received.
- Maintaining an accurate record of all packages delivered to recipients.
Requirements
- Must be a South African Citizen with a clean criminal background and a valid Code A Driver’s license – checks will be done on shortlisted applicants.
- Proven experience working as a delivery driver with references.
- Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
- The ability to work well under pressure and use GPS devices.
- Reliable and punctual person.
Salary & Benefits
R 7,471 (basic salary, not negotiable)
