About the Role
As Finance Manager (Commercial & Reporting) at Smith Garb, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth. With a strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills, you will partner with senior leadership to develop financial plans and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting and management accounts
- Support the preparation and finalisation of annual financial statements
- Prepare quarterly and year-end reporting packs in accordance with IFRS
- Manage corporate income tax, provisional tax calculations, and related statutory submissions
- Support audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit matters
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and oversee provision assessments
Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification (essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role
- Strong experience in financial reporting and tax
- Recent exposure to preparing or reviewing annual financial statements
- Advanced MS Excel (including modelling and scenario planning)
- Experience operating in a high-volume transaction environment
