About the Role
Our client, a leading sterile vaccine manufacturer rooted in Africa, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Head of Supply Chain to join their goal-oriented team. With a core purpose of “protecting life”, they aim to hire an exceptional professional who can drive strategic supply chain leadership and ensure seamless product flow across multiple sites and distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead S&OP processes to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial planning.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless product flow.
- Oversee demand forecasting and production planning for 510 sterile pharmaceutical products.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels across both manufacturing sites and distribution channels.
- Manage strategic sourcing and supplier relationships for raw materials, packaging, and services.
- Ensure supplier compliance with GMP and quality standards.
- Oversee warehousing operations at both manufacturing sites, ensuring GMP compliance and inventory accuracy.
- Manage distribution logistics across African markets, including cold chain and controlled substances where applicable.
- Ensure supply chain operations comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., SAHPRA, WHO, FDA).
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including disruptions, shortages, and regulatory changes.
- Drive digital transformation and automation initiatives across the supply chain.
- Implement continuous improvement programs using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
