About the Role
A reputable automotive manufacturing company in Pretoria, Gauteng is seeking a skilled Paint Process Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing and improving the painting process, ensuring stable production of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide technicians to adjust and optimize processes for stable product production.
- Promote continuous improvement of mass production products and achieve IPI indicators.
- Analyze problems raised by internal and external customers, track progress, and summarize experience solving on-site difficulties.
- Assist in process formulation and development of new projects, cooperating with project teams to complete early process development.
- Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure compliance with YFPO standards.
- Implement and review painting process-related codes, specifications, and standards, updating BOM data for accuracy.
- Collect data from the painting platform, participate in activities, and promote highlights.
- Master basic operation of painting process technicians.
- Complete tasks assigned by Engineer-in-Charge and Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- Majoring in polymer materials and engineering, chemical engineering and process, electromechanical related majors.
- With more than two years of on-site automotive-related painting process experience, able to independently analyze and solve on-site problems.
- Engineering Diploma/Degree.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with Durr robots.
- IATF16949/ISO14001 system standard and relevant laws and regulations knowledge.
