About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fitter and Turner to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing production machinery used in beverage manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical components fabrication, piston-driven and hydraulic systems, and precision measurement.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, repair, and service production machinery used in the beverage manufacturing process.
Machine, manufacture, and refurbish mechanical components using lathes, milling machines, and other workshop equipment.
Work with piston-driven and hydraulic systems used in filling, packaging, and processing equipment.
Perform precision measurements to ensure components meet required tolerances.
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
Interpret technical drawings and machine components accordingly.
Assist with preventative maintenance schedules for plant equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the workshop and production areas.

Requirements

Qualified Fitter and Turner Trade Test
Experience working with piston systems, pumps, or hydraulic equipment

Qualifications

Strong experience operating lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
