About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join a high-performing housekeeping team within a luxury hotel environment. This role is essential in ensuring every guest room and public space reflects the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards
- Change linen, make beds, and replenish amenities
- Ensure rooms are neat, sanitised, and guest-ready at all times
- Assist with cleaning of corridors and public areas where required
- Maintain consistent cleanliness standards across all assigned areas
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly
- Follow correct lost and found procedures
- Ensure guest privacy and security protocols are always maintained
Requirements
• Matric (Grade 12)
• Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience as a Room Attendant or Housekeeper
• Experience within a hotel environment (4 or 5-star preferred)
• Solid understanding of cleaning procedures and room setup standards
• Knowledge of hygiene practices and safety standards
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role
