About the Role
We are seeking a young professional with a tertiary technical qualification to join our team as a Factory Foreman. The ideal candidate will have technical manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment and be eager to develop expertise in pre-cast concrete production. As a leader, you will be responsible for mentoring and training others, and we encourage you to share your specific contributions and successes in the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the factory floor team
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality
- Mentor and train new staff members on block making techniques and best practices
- Ensure consistent mix quality and adherence to highest standards
- Implement and monitor Through Put concepts to optimize production
- Administer, measure, and report on production data to identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Tertiary technical qualification (e.g. National Diploma or Higher National Certificate)
- Technical manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
- Basic knowledge of block making concepts and processes
Qualifications
- Formal education in a relevant field (e.g. Civil Engineering, Construction Management)
