Job Description
Leading fast-food franchise is expanding their operations. Seeking skilled Assistant Restaurant Managers to oversee all staff, budgets, and operations of the business.
An ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, adhering to health and safety regulations, and maximising profitability.
Key duties include managing staff, controlling costs, and driving sales.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant operations
- Supervise staff and provide training
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (food safety and hygiene)
- Control operational costs and maximise profitability
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales
Competencies, Skills and Other Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience managing a diverse workforce, in the fast-food restaurant/ hotel industry
- Must be a Zambian national with a clear criminal history
- A valid driver’s license is advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and people management. Basic HR/ disciplinary / grievance process)
- Strong figure acumen and proficiency in Excel (working in a digitised environment)
- Entrepreneurial flair and the ability to understand the customer focus
- Strong communication skills, at all levels
- Tertiary qualification/diploma, degree preferred
- Shortlisted candidates may be required to take and pass an online assessment
