Bethal: Qualified Boilermaker – Heavy-Duty Trucking / Logistics

A trucking/Logistics company is seeking a Qualified Boilermaker to carry out fabrication, welding, and structural repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related transport equipment. The role supports fleet reliability, safety compliance, and operational uptime within a busy logistics or trucking workshop. Location – Bethal Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Structural Repairs Fabricate, repair, and modify truck bodies, trailers, chassis, and frames Perform structural welding on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment Repair load bodies, tipper bodies, tankers, flatbeds, and trailer components Strengthen, reinforce, and align chassis and structural components Carry out cutting, bending, shaping, and fitting of steel components Welding & Technical Work Perform welding using MIG, TIG, ARC, and CO? processes Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans Ensure welds meet quality, safety, and durability standards Inspect completed work for structural integrity and compliance Workshop & Safety Support Work closely with mechanics and workshop foreman on vehicle repairs Maintain tools, welding equipment, and work areas Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations Assist with breakdown repairs and urgent fleet requirements Minimum Requirements Qualified Boilermaker Trade Certificate (Red Seal preferred) Proven experience in heavy-duty trucking, logistics, or transport workshops Strong fabrication and structural welding skills Ability to work independently and under pressure Physically fit and safety-conscious Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with trailer manufacturing or repair Knowledge of transport industry compliance standards Oxy-acetylene cutting and heating experience Code 10 or EC driver’s licence (advantage) Key Competencies High attention to detail Strong problem-solving ability Reliability and accountability Teamwork and communication Safety-first mindset
