About the Role
A global company operating in the mining, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors is seeking a Senior Electronic Engineer to join their company. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced electronic systems for mining and infrastructure equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test advanced electronic systems for mining and infrastructure equipment.
- Lead electronic engineering projects from concept through to production and deployment.
- Work with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, and automation engineers) to integrate solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including specifications, schematics, and test procedures.
- Oversee prototyping, validation, and field testing of electronic systems.
- Drive innovation in automation, digitalisation, and electrification of Epiroc equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- 7+ years of experience in electronic system design and development (preferably in heavy industry, mining, or automation).
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems, PCB design, circuit simulation, and power electronics.
- Proficiency with CAD/EDA tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, or similar).
- Experience with sensors, control systems, and communication protocols (CANbus, Modbus, Ethernet, etc.).
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, and digital/IoT solutions is highly advantageous.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field may be considered an advantage.
