Job Description

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an Accounts Manager who will drive business growth by managing and expanding relationships with clients in both the government and private sectors. The Account Manager will focus on promoting all the client’s services, including Data Protection (Backup), Servers, Storage, HCI, Cloud, Backup, and Microsoft Services, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and new business acquisition. 

Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in both government and private sectors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and escalations.
  • Regularly meet with clients to understand their business needs and propose suitable solutions from Diopoint’s portfolio.

Sales and Business Development

  • Drive sales growth by identifying and closing new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to meet sales targets.
  • Promote all Diopoint services, including Data Protection, Servers, Storage, HCI, Cloud, Backup, Microsoft Services, and Support Services.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop and deliver tailored proposals and solutions.

Account Growth and Retention

  • Expand service offerings within existing accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to secure long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct regular reviews with clients to measure satisfaction and identify additional needs.

Market and Sector Focus

  • Develop a deep understanding of the government and private sector landscapes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, government procurement processes, and private sector opportunities.
  • Tailor sales strategies to align with the unique requirements of each sector.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline status, and account growth metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems.
  • Provide regular updates to the Sales Manager on account activities and market insights.

Collaboration and Teamwork

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 6 8 years Extensive Account Management and Sales Experience in the Public Sector within the ICT industry.
  • Business development experience.
  • Proven track record of success in managing government and private sector accounts.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and services, including Data Protection, Servers, Storage, HCI, Cloud, and Microsoft solutions.
  • Self-starter with highly developed interpersonal skills, decisive, and result-oriented.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Exceptional analytical skills for analysing and determining client requirements.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and commit to deadlines.
  • Excellent people skills and intuitive understanding of customers business needs.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with different types of customers and clients.
  • The ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Basic accounting and/or technical knowledge.
  • Excellent Understanding of Government supply chain processes and tender / bid process.
  • Must understand, appreciate, and follow company processes.
  • ICT knowledge Client Services specific.
  • Business acumen, compliance, and organising skills.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT products and services, particularly Diopoints offerings.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and align solutions effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics.

    Hire Resolve’s client is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The Account Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and a deep understanding of the sales process.

    Responsibilities:

    • Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses.
    • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and create cross-selling and upselling strategies to maximize revenue.
    • Develop and implement account plans, including setting sales targets and action plans.
    • Collaborate with the Sales team to identify potential leads and assist in the acquisition of new clients.
    • Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to identify growth opportunities and address any concerns or issues.
    • Work closely with the Operations and Customer Support teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any client complaints or issues.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitors to stay up-to-date on market developments and identify potential business opportunities.
    • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to key clients.
    • Utilize sales CRM systems to manage client interactions, document sales activities, and track progress towards sales targets.

    An established IT company is seeking a highly driven and experienced Account Manager to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape . This dynamic role focuses on expanding and managing relationships with both public and private sector clients. The successful candidate will promote a full range of services including Data Protection (Backup), Servers, Storage, HCI, Cloud, and Microsoft Services.

    This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in both hunting for new business and farming existing accounts, and who is passionate about delivering strategic IT solutions tailored to client needs.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Serve as the main point of contact for client queries and escalations
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
    • Conduct regular client meetings to assess needs and offer tailored solutions
    • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities
    • Promote Diopoints full suite of services across sectors
    • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver customised proposals
    • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
    • Conduct client reviews to track satisfaction and future needs
    • Ensure excellent customer service to foster long-term partnerships
    • Understand government procurement and private sector trends
    • Align strategies with sector-specific needs and requirements
    • Maintain CRM records and provide regular reporting on account performance
    • Share insights and pipeline status with management
    • Partner with technical and operational teams for seamless service delivery
    • Support marketing initiatives and attend cross-functional meetings

     Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, IT or a related field
    • Certifications in sales/account management are an advantage
    • 810 years of IT Technical Sales experience
    • 68 years of Account Management experience, particularly in the Public Sector
    • Strong knowledge of ICT Client Services, including End-User Devices and Boardroom Equipment
    • Proven track record in both private and government sector account management
    • Strong understanding of Data Protection, Servers, Storage, HCI, Cloud, and Microsoft Solutions
    • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
    • Solid understanding of government tender and procurement processes
    • CRM proficiency and analytical mindset
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Business acumen and compliance awareness
