This role is based in Hartbeespoort.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

• Manage the full finance function and ensure the integrity of financial information across the business
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
• Prepare and review management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end journals
• Monitor financial performance and provide insightful analysis to support business decision-making
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of accounting records

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare rolling forecasts
• Analyse financial results against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends and areas for improvement
• Provide financial recommendations to support strategic planning and operational efficiency

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and legislative requirements
• Maintain robust internal controls and financial governance frameworks
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with regulatory bodies where required
• Oversee compliance relating to SARS, CIPC, COIDA, banking institutions, and other statutory stakeholders

Cash Flow & Operational Finance

• Review and authorise electronic payments and banking transactions
• Monitor cash flow requirements and optimise working capital management
• Oversee stock control processes and ensure accurate inventory reporting

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Build and maintain effective relationships with auditors, bankers, legal advisors, shareholders, and other key stakeholders
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within finance processes and systems

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Completed articles will be advantageous
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant financial management experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Working knowledge of Sage Evolution
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and finance teams
• Sound understanding of financial controls, reporting, and compliance requirements
