Job Description
A well-established educational institution is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Financial Administrator to join its finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong debtors management experience who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys building positive relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Debtors & Credit Control
- Manage the full debtors cycle, ensuring the timely collection of fees and reduction of outstanding accounts.
- Maintain accurate student account records and monitor overdue accounts.
- Implement effective debt collection strategies and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Liaise professionally with parents, guardians, and stakeholders to resolve account queries and payment issues.
- Prepare debtors reports and provide regular feedback to management.
Financial Administration
- Assist with the management of trade payables and asset administration.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Support month-end reporting and financial administration processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team to support operational requirements.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Matric with a qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3 – 5 years’ experience in debtors, credit control, or accounts receivable.
Previous experience within a school or educational environment will be highly advantageous.
Strong working knowledge of accounting systems, preferably SAGE 300 (Accpac).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with SAP will be advantageous.
